This training explores the nature, dynamics and risks of vicarious trauma and supports practitioners to sustain their wellbeing while working with people impacted by trauma. Drawing on current research, participants will develop a deeper understanding of the early signs and impacts of stress responses that can arise in trauma-exposed work. The session introduces practical strategies across organisational, interpersonal and personal levels to help address the risks associated with vicarious trauma.
